Our Commitment

We can commit to work together so that the dramatic growth we see coming results in a city built with collective integrity. It will become a shared commitment to the hard work of protecting the values, character and people that make this city worth living in.

What Is A CLT?

A community land trust creates permanently affordable housing by reducing the affordability gap and increasing home ownership opportunities for low income buyers. A community land trust acquires land that remains “in trust” for the benefit of the community while also removing it from the speculative market. The homebuyer purchases the home outright and leases the land from the community land trust through a ground lease. The homebuyer agrees to a resale formula that outlines the sale price of the CLT home and shared equity based on the increased value of the home at the time of sale.
