Francina Edmonds is a Housing Revivalist, innovating communities’ access to permanent affordable housing and home ownership, and creating solutions to combat gentrification and urban renewal, through development without displacement. Her experience in big data for financial information services and as a NC Broker/Realtor, has opened her eyes to the compounding deficit that exists for disinvested communities. She is able to unify her professional strengths with community-led missions to support individuals who would like a personal stake in their communities. Francina believes there is a way around the targeted opposition to ownership for underrepresented communities, and she works to change the system through strategic advocacy for democracy in housing. She will do whatever it takes to make people feel relevant because she believes that hope should be accessed by everyone. She is committed to helping people step out of the pain of the past and into their own version of the future, even if the work must be done one by one.
