Jessica Ploucha has been working behind the scenes on ABCLT’s marketing and communications since 2023. While she is not a resident of Buncombe County, she cares deeply about community and social change. She got her start as a teenager, co-inspiring and co-leading a local movement to teach thousands to actively oppose modern-day slavery. After graduating from Denison University with degrees in Sociology/Anthropology and Educational Studies, she began working in community-based organizations and small businesses.

Now, Jessica runs The Scaffolding Space, which focuses on creating supports for mission-focused organizations so that their leaders can stay focused on the bigger picture. 

When she isn’t working, Jessica enjoys hiking, exploring cities, cooking, knitting, and spending time with friends and family.
