Kate Tinnan

Donor Database Manager

Kate is the Donor Database Manager for ABCLT and provides other administrative support.

She has always been passionate about civil rights, so getting involved with the ABCLT in 2017–a truly unique solution to housing inequality with roots in the Civil Rights Movement–was an easy decision.

Owning a home has been pivotal in her life, and is the dream of so many families–the foundation of the American Dream. She happily joined this effort to create a tool that will help others experience the stability and comfort of owning a home, particularly for those who have been historically excluded due to racist policies and practices.

Kate studied opera, theater and communications at DePauw University; then theater and acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. With a group of other NYC actors, she helped found Shadowland Stages, now an Equity theater in Ellenville, New York. She later worked as a computer consultant in New York City for several years before becoming a mom. Her other personal passions are her dogs, and her art jewelry business, WovenStones.

Kate and her family have lived in North Carolina for 28 years, with 10 of them in the Asheville area.
