C. Nicole Hinebaugh

Position: Secretary

Nicole graduated with a BA in an Art Therapy concentration in 2004 from Eckerd College. Since 2004 Nicole has worked in the nonprofit sector initially within organizations supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. From 2004-2010 Nicole held positions such as Art Teacher, Comprehensive Education Teacher, Community Services Coordinator, and Executive Director. Since 2010 the focus of Nicole’s nonprofit work has shifted toward working with women and families experiencing economic inequities. From 2010 to the present Nicole has held the position of Program Director for two organizations working primarily to support and enact individual, community based, and systems wide change and growth in the realms of health, food security, economic development, housing, and the justice system. Currently Nicole is serving as Program Director for Bountiful Cities, Asheville and Buncombe County’s urban agriculture resource organization.

Membership Overview

The ABCLT is a membership-based nonprofit that is controlled by its members. All ABCLT homeowners are members, and other people in the community may also join. All general members have a say in the direction of the ABCLT through voting at the annual membership meeting.

As a general member, you will:

  • Help create and maintain housing that will remain permanently affordable.
  • Participate in meetings of the Membership. 
  • Cast 1 vote on matters properly put before the Membership.
  • Nominate and participate in the election of the Board of Directors.
  • Serve on the Board or committees, if chosen.
  • Receive notices and minutes of Membership Meetings and Annual Reports.
  • You are invited to attend trainings and events.

As a supporting member, you will:

  • Help create and maintain housing that will remain permanently affordable. 
  • Participate in meetings of the Membership. 
  • Serve on the Board or committees, if chosen.
  • Receive notices and minutes of Membership Meetings and Annual Reports.
  • You are invited to attend trainings and events.

The annual membership fee is $25/year or 2 hours of sweat equity.
