Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Asheville-Buncombe Community Land Trust (ABCLT)! Collective support is our most powerful tool. ABCLT is a membership-based nonprofit where your voice is an important guide for the direction of the organization. Will you join the movement?

The annual membership fee is $25 and can be paid via the membership form linked below. 

If you would like to mail your membership fee, please write a check payable to Asheville-Buncombe Community Land Trust and send to:

If you are unable to pay the $25 fee, you can choose to contribute 2 hours of sweat equity via the membership form below and ABCLT staff will contact you about completing these hours.

Membership Form

There are two types of membership:
general and supporting.

Both general and supporting members will:

  • Help create and maintain permanent affordability
  • Participate in membership meetings
  • Receive information about membership meetings
  • Receive the organization’s annual report
  • Have opportunities to serve as a volunteer 
  • Be invited to attend trainings and events

In addition, general members will:

  • Cast one vote on matters put before the membership
  • Nominate and elect members to the Board of Directors
To become a member, please complete the membership form linked below. Please note that general members must live in Buncombe County. Supporting members may live in or outside of Buncombe County. Once you complete the membership form, we will add you to our general mailing list as well as our membership email group.
