This 4 BR/2 BA home in the East End neighborhood has remained standing for over a century, and we are thrilled that it is now another permanently affordable home.

This 2BR/1BA home in Southside contains over 100 years of history. When this house was built in 1922, Southside was a thriving Black community. When Urban Renewal began in the 1970s, people were forced out of homes like this one and lost the opportunity to build generational wealth.
Now, we celebrate the ability to make this a permanently affordable home and preserve the history of Southside.

We’re continuing our work in Asheville’s historic East End neighborhood by preserving a home with deep community ties and creating another place where a family can build lasting roots. This effort celebrates the neighborhood’s legacy while ensuring it remains a place where families can thrive.

This 2BR/1 BA cottage in the Burton Street was thouroughly renovated before giving the keys to its new owner in December 2025. Renovations included a new roof, structural improvements, an updated kitchen, refinished floors, and a new back porch.

ABCLT’s second home is located in the East End neighborhood. We acquired this 3 BR/1 BA home in 2022 and resold the home in 2023. The journey was filled with challenges as the home went to foreclosure auction before we could purchase it. Thankfully, we were able to add it to our inventory and overcome many hurdles throughout the process. This home was partially renovated when we acquired it, and ABCLT finished the renovations with a brand new kitchen and bathroom.

Before home prices escalated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to purchase this home in 2020. Located in the Shiloh neighborhood, selling this 3 BR/1.5 BA home in 2022 was a major accomplishment for ABCLT as it paved the way for us to establish our homeownership program.
